Laval Travel Guide

Laval is a city and a region in southwestern Quebec, Canada in the Greater Montreal Area. It also includes the Îles Laval in the Rivière des Prairies.
Laval is located on Île Jésus, across the Rivière des Prairies from Montreal. The island is still rural in nature, with most of the urban area in the central region and along the south and west river banks.

Tourist attractions of Laval include Laval Symphony Orchestra, the Centre de la Nature, the Cosmodome, and the Parc de la rivière des Mille-Îles.

The appeal of this park lies in its natural beauty. The river is wide and calm here, flowing peacefully around some thirty wooded islands. The park gives visitors an opportunity to explore a vast landscape of lush forests and marshes in the heart of the metropolitan Montreal area. To the north, Rivière des Mille-Îles borders the archipelago of Hochelaga, 250 islands jutting out of one of the world's most majestic rivers, the St. Laurent.
