A dream for local history enthusiasts culminated June 29, 1984 when the Wallaceburg and District Museum was officially dedicated. During ensuing years, an active and operative historical centre continues not only as a museum artifact depository, but has raised a public consciousness of heritage appreciation. Reaching that goal came only after a struggle over several decades.
