The Nunatta Sunakkutaangit Museum building is an old Hudson Bay Company Warehouse. It was lted on Apex beach, and was moved in 1984 to its present location in Iqaluit. The Museum Society was formed in 1969 and continues to grow in the community. Major renovations and extentions to the building took place after 1995.
