Alonsa Travel Guide

Lake Manitoba is one of the largest attractions near Alonsa in Manitoba, Canada. The community attracts tourists headed to the lake for fishing or swimming. Other attractions of this small community located in north central Manitoba include the Alex Robertson Museum in Alonsa, which has a large collection of antique firearms and pioneer artifacts and is open to the public on Sundays.

Alonsa grew in the early 1900's with the coming of the railroad. The rail line was never extended beyond Alonsa. When in 1961 the rail service ended, as the service ends, the population started to drop.

The area is accessible now by Provincial Trunk Highways 50 and 66.
