Sylvan Lake is a town in central Alberta, Canada, located 25 km west of the city of Red Deer along Highway 11 or Highway 11A. It is situated on the southeast edge of Sylvan Lake, a 15 kilometres long freshwater lake, in Red Deer County. Sylvan Lake Provincial Park contains an expansive lake with a 1.6 km long sand and grass beaches.

With over 1.5 million visitors each year, the lake is a popular destination for tourists from around Alberta. Popular tourist activities include sunbathing, swimming, water-skiing, and visiting the local Wild Rapids Waterslides. Sylvan Lake is the perfect destination spot for the entire family at any time of year. Sylvan Lake is among Canada’s ten best beaches and offers a seasonal playground.
