Picture Butte is a town in southern Alberta, Canada. It is located 27 km (17 mi) north of the city of Lethbridge. It claims the title of "Livestock Feeding Capital of Canada." The main economic base in Picture Butte is agriculture. The town is surrounded by agriculture and intensive livestock feeding operations.
Nearby recreational areas include Lion's Park, Regional Park & Campground, and the 'Walk on the Wild Side' Nature Trail. The Picture Butte Golf Club is one of Southern Alberta’s most recognized and respected golf facilities. Located only 15 minutes North of Lethbridge, the golf club is set on the top of the coulee, and has a very storied history. The North County Recreation Complex offers curling, hockey, an outdoor swimming pool, beach volleyball and tennis courts, as well as an 27-hole golf course located 2 km west of town.
