Melfort & District Museum

It features a Pioneer Village as well as an extensive collection of vintage farm machinery, equipment and tools that were used in the development of the agriculture industry and the settling of our area.

(Museum)
The Melfort & District Museum collection focuses on the agricultural and social history of Melfort and area. We have many artifacts on display throughout our museum, in our main building, the Powerhouse and in our Pioneer Village buildings: the Bennett pioneer house, a grist mill, a blacksmith shop, a barber shop, Rothwell School, St. Paul’s Anglican Church, a general store with doctor’s and dentist’s offices, Beatty’s Real Estate office, South Melfort Post Office, an Exhibit Hall and a working sawmill.

We also have a large archive of photographs, documents, history books, record books and oral histories available for genealogical research.
