Black Duck Cove

Black Duck Cove is a small fishing community on South Twilingate Island, Newfoundland and Labrador. The very small town is about 100 km north of Lewisporte and Gander and close to Twillingate, a town of 2448 people located on the Twillingate Islands in Notre Dame Bay.

The first settlers to Black Duck Cove were two fishermen, William Dredge and George Coombs. Today, a large percentage of the residents in the community work in the fishing industry. Black Duck Cove is also known for its traditional accordion players.
