Since the 1950's Hakai Pass has been Irv and JoAnn Olsen's treasured family tradition as the sheltered bay with freshwater supply made each trip as rewarding as the last. In 1982, the Olsen family decided to share their discovery among fellow fishing enthusiasts and make Hakai Pass a destination for inclusive and communal fishing trips on the Western coast of British Columbia. In a setting where nature is king, Ole’s provides genuine hospitality and care for each of their guests making every day a warm welcome into the Olsen family lodge. In 2017 Keith and Sari Olsen took over lodge operations carrying on the traditions and expectations our guests have come to value.
Ole’s sits floating in Hakai Pass, just 350 miles by air Northwest of Vancouver on the West coast of British Columbia, Canada.
Once you step onto the Dash 8 your Ole’s experience begins. Take in the aerial views during the 1 hour and 15 minute flight followed by a 1 and a half hour run in a covered water taxi down to Ole's dock and arrive in time for West Coast Snacks and orientation.
