Symmes Inn Museum

The permanent exhibition covers the theme of the Ottawa River, a key route that was used by Aboriginal people, explorers, trappers, missionaries and other travellers.

(Museum)
The Symmes Inn Museum was set up in what was once a hotel built in 1831 by Charles Symmes, the founder of the former city of Aylmer and nephew of Philemon Wright.
