Stratford

The Town of Stratford (population of 7,000) is a full service community nestled along the beautiful south shore of Queens County, Prince Edward Island. It’s only minutes away from the Island’s Capital City of Charlottetown, offering a beautiful scenic view of the capital from across the waters. Stratford covers a land area of 22.1 square km of magnificent waterviews, with desirable and peaceful neighborhoods of rich rural heritage.

The Stratford area was founded in the 1750's when several Acadian families settled in the Bunbury area, and following acceptance of the Royal Commission on the Land's recommendations by the Provincial Government, the Town of Stratford was created on April 1, 1995.
