The Burlington Art Centre

Nestled close to Lake Ontario, the Burlington Art Centre (BAC) is a community art gallery with a difference. The BAC is the seventh largest public art gallery in Ontario, featuring a permanent collection of contemporary Canadian ceramics which is significant both nationally and internationally. Its dynamic exhibition program showcases the permanent collection and the work of regional guilds and artists, as well as those from across Canada and beyond.

Now celebrating 30 years of “inspiring imagination and enriching lives”, the BAC is a cherished fixture of the local art scene. Its fully equipped studios are home to seven very active artist and artisan guilds. Budding artists of all ages are nurtured through a full schedule of classes, open studios, lectures and workshops for youth and adults. School groups tour and participate in hands-on art activities at the BAC on a regular basis.

The BAC champions the role and value of art in life through all its programs. A not-for-profit organization whose galleries are open seven days a week with free admission, it is a welcoming place for anyone interested in exploring art.
