Barrie

The City of Barrie, Ontario, is a dynamic and growing community of 133,900 persons. Situated 70 km north of Toronto, Ontario, and located on beautiful Kempenfelt Bay, Barrie offers an excellent lifestyle with many recreational opportunities.

Barrie is a vibrant and attractive city with swimmable beaches and challenging ski opportunities on our doorstep. An abundance of parkland, totalling over 90 parks, comprising in excess of 300 ha. are scattered throughout the city. Several of these parks line beautiful Kempenfelt Bay with extensive biking, roller blading and walking trails.

Barrie's waterfront is at the heart of its tourism industry, with events like Kempenfest arts and crafts festival attracting more than 300,000 people
and major attractions like the Serendipity Princess that take more than 40,000 people cruising on the bay each year. Sports and recreational activities, like skiing, baseball, hockey and boating attract people to Barrie in all four seasons of the year.
