St. Stephen

The Canadian town of St. Stephen in Charlotte County, New Brunswick is conveniently located with access to major cites in Atlantic Canada and the Eastern United States. It is service center of southern New Brunswick with many financial institutions, automotive dealers, and retail shops. It is also a hub for the many forest related businesses of Charlotte County. The town is situated on the east bank of the St. Croix River.

St. Stephen offers fun-filled summer celebrations like Chocolate Fest and International Festival. It has a wide range of trails and paths for both the avid hiker and the casual walker. The trails offer scenic wooded areas, creeks, rustic wooden bridges, picnic shelters, and kilometres of unspoiled natural beauty. There is plenty of wildlife in the area to enjoy during your jog, hike or quiet walk along these enchanting trails. St. Stephen is close to Ganong Nature Park at Todd's Point with a variety of habitats within its 330 acres of intertidal lands, fields, and woodlands.

Cyclists find many opportunities along the coastal route with its pristine beaches and rugged seacoasts and along St. Stephen's secondary roads with miles of scenic trails that lace through Charlotte County.

The town has quiet tree-lined residential streets, beautiful historic homes and new subdivisions; a shopping mall and a bustling downtown core; small parks and playgrounds and friendly people. It also has a long history of international co-operation and friendship with its "across the bridge" neighbor, Calais, Maine, U.S.A.
