The Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre, a hub to the Chinese and a place for all to learn, appreciate and share Chinese culture and heritage, as well as promoting cultural exchanges, identified the Chinese Artifacts Museum is a powerful vehicle to help achieving this goal. The Museum, besides a display of Chinese artifacts including the world renowned replica of Terra-Cotta soldiers, horses and chariot; a collection of costumes of the royalty; ceramic wares, the early form of seismograph etc., also showcasing a dedicated hall – Our Chosen Land for the history of 100 years of develop of Chinese community in Calgary and 150 years of Canadian Chinese history in Canada. The display is a bridge to connect the Chinese community to people with different ethnic backgrounds and for generations to remember their culture and roots while living in Canada.
